![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() About![]() CHRIS POOLE MBE LRPS Photographer and writer, Chris has been creating high-quality images to illustrate magazine features for many years. His work has been used in publications such as "Motor Boat & Yachting", "Italy", "Herefordshire Life", "Shropshire Life" and "Worcestershire Life" among other travel and lifestyle titles. Having lived in the Balkans and the Middle East from the 1980s until 2006, travelling extensively in those regions, Chris is now settled in his Herefordshire home. From here he is extending his portfolio, both for material to illustrate his own magazine articles and for other editorial, illustrative and commercial use. The galleries on this website contain some examples. Chris Poole Images maintains an extensive archive of pictures of Britain and overseas. Some images are lodged with picture libraries such as Alamy, World Panoramic, Photographers Direct and Photoshot. An enduring theme in Chris' work as a photographer has been the appeal of the monochrome image. His fine-art prints have been exhibited in galleries in this country and abroad. His signature image, the wreck of the freighter "Anchorman", appears on the opening page of this website. Examples of the limited edition prints, all made to the highest archival standards, can be found in this website. Prints are sold through specialist galleries. During 2007, Chris was awarded a distinction of the Royal Photographic Society. His work as a photographer was featured in F2 Freelance magazine, the journal of the Royal Photographic Society and by the Bureau of Freelance Photographers. |
